Tips
The media files listed below are "streaming" videos. If you are not familiar with the term "streaming" there are a couple of things to know about it:- Unlike other files that you access online, you do not have to download an entire streaming file before you can start to view it. As soon as it "buffers" (see image at right) enough video to have a good signal, you can start to play. This is especially beneficial for those people on a dial-up modem.
- Since the video will play as soon as it has a good buffer, there is a chance that it may stop while it is playing. Most of the time this is because it needs to add more video to its buffer. For best results, allow the buffer to build a little before you hit "Play".
- You may need the latest version of QuickTime in order to view the videos. You can get it by clicking on the link below. Please note that the QuickTime Player is approximately 21MB, so the download time may vary depending on your Internet connection speed.
